Heather M. Scheer, M.S., CCC-SLP
Owner, Speech Language Pathologist
Heather is a Washington state licensed and nationally certified speech language pathologist with 30 years experience working with children and adolescents with a variety of communication needs. She began her career working in local school districts, which gives her a unique perspective when collaborating with IEP teams. Heather worked in classrooms for student with moderate intellectual disabilities and preschool classrooms, as well as with children who fully participated in general education classrooms with speech therapy support.
She opened her private practice in 1996 and loves working individually with clients to help them reach their communication potential. Her private practice client caseload ranges from toddlers to high school students with a variety of communication challenges. Family engagement is an important part of her approach to therapy and caregivers are valued partners in each child’s therapy journey.
